Brittany Wilson – Tutor and Assessor
Brittany Wilson is a dedicated educator with over 12 years of experience fostering growth, curiosity, and confidence in young learners. She brings to Stillman Academy a deep commitment to nurturing the whole child, blending strong classroom management with child-centered pedagogy. Grounded in Montessori principles and early intervention strategies, Brittany focuses on emotional and social development alongside academic readiness. Her approach emphasizes observation, responsiveness, and trust-building—creating learning environments where children feel seen, respected, and empowered to thrive.
Prior to joining Stillman Academy, Brittany served as a lead teacher and guide in both private and public Montessori programs in Wisconsin and California. Her leadership experience includes mentoring junior staff, managing daily classroom operations, and supporting inclusive learning communities. In every role—from transitional kindergarten instruction in Oakland to governance board service for a public charter school—Brittany has demonstrated a passion for collaboration and long-term impact. Her current graduate studies in Counseling Psychology at Golden Gate University reflect her evolving mission to strengthen mental health awareness and emotional literacy within education.
Outside the classroom, Brittany enjoys exploring the intersections of education, equity, and ecology—a nod to her background in Conservation Biology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is known for her creativity, calm presence, and deep listening skills, which she brings not only to her students but to her colleagues and school community. Whether leading a classroom or supporting schoolwide initiatives, Brittany believes in cultivating a safe, inclusive, and joyful space for every learner.
